Engineering Silicon-Based Lifeforms
- Paragraphs one and two help establish a tone that using silicon molecules can greatly benefit many industries and is more of a good thing than a bad thing. Two words that express this are "applications in several industries" and "environmentally friendly".

- The word choice developed the tone by showing how much of a breakthrough this technology is and how it can be beneficial to businesses and the environment. The tone affects the meaning by telling the reader that the technology is the first to incorporate silicone in carbon based molecules. And the fist technology of it's kind.
